The Bid Board: open jobs you can bid on
The Glenn Stover Marketplace is a local job board. Homeowners bring the projects, Glenn scopes them, and vetted pros bid. Two tracks:
- Existing-home small jobs: Remodeling, Reconditioning, Outdoor Spaces.
- New-home work packages: new homes broken into clear packages you can bid on by trade.
Quit chasing tire-kickers. Every job here is already scoped, has a budget behind it and a homeowner ready to go. No lead fees, no bid fees, and no driving out for free quotes on work that was never real. Same scope for every bidder, sealed bids, and the homeowner picks the best bid. Finish the work, pass the checks, and the homeowner pays you directly, and the checks keep it clear when the work is done. Founding pros get 3 months free. Spots are limited, so apply now.
How it works
- Apply. Five minutes, and it costs nothing to apply.
- Get vetted. Show your registration, insurance, references and past work. Then sit down with Glenn.
- Bid what fits. Pick the jobs that match your trade and your schedule. Bids are sealed, and there are no bid fees.
- The homeowner picks. Glenn reviews each bid, acknowledges it and advises the client about it. The client makes the call.
- Do the work. Get paid directly. Glenn checks the work, then the homeowner pays you. Nobody argues about whether it’s in place.
What it costs. Straight numbers.
$49 a month. On existing-home jobs you sign, add 2.5%, capped at $250 on any one job, and your $49 membership is credited toward that 2.5%, so you’re not paying twice. On new-home work packages, the $49 membership is all you pay. No lead fees, no bid fees. Your fees are spelled out in writing before you bid.
Same fees for every pro. Nobody buys a better spot. No lead fees, no bid fees.
Founding pros: your first 3 months are free.
Founding members: your first 3 months of membership are free if you’re one of the first 25 pros to join or you join by Dec 31, 2026, whichever comes first. The 2.5% on existing-home jobs you sign, capped at $250 per job, still applies during those months.
Not everybody gets in. Every member is vetted by Glenn.
To join, you’ll need:
- An active PA Home Improvement Contractor registration
- Insurance and workers’ comp paperwork (workers’ comp where PA law requires it)
- General liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence
- References from past customers
- Examples of your past work
- A talk with Glenn
Service area: York County plus south-central Pennsylvania.
Your work keeps score: on time, inspections, callbacks, client ratings. You see your own scorecard.
The rules. Same for everybody.
Treat people right and do good work. Use a written, signed contract, follow PA’s Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, keep your registration and insurance current, and keep the homeowner informed.
10 days to fix it. If you fail one of Glenn’s checks, leave a job unfinished, or Glenn confirms a client complaint, he’ll tell you in writing what’s wrong. You get 10 days to make it right.
Out on the spot. You’re removed right away, and blocked from bidding on or viewing any projects or requests for bid, for:
- breaking PA’s home improvement or consumer protection laws
- misrepresenting your status, such as claiming any status from Glenn other than “vetted”
- a safety problem
- fraud
- a lapsed registration or lapsed insurance
You can leave any time with 14 days’ written notice. Email is fine.
The full Contractor Participation Agreement is shared with you during vetting, before you bid on anything.

Questions pros ask
Do I pay to see jobs or to bid?
No. There are no lead fees and no bid fees. You pay the $49 membership, plus 2.5% on existing-home jobs you actually sign (capped at $250 per job, with your $49 credited toward it).
How many jobs will I get?
No one can promise that, and we won’t. What we promise is that every job on The Bid Board is scoped by Glenn first, and every bidder sees the same scope.
Who pays me, and when?
The homeowner pays you directly. Glenn never handles anyone’s money. Glenn checks the work before the homeowner pays you: at each milestone on bigger jobs, and once at completion on existing-home jobs of $10,000 or less. Set your payment schedule to follow those checks.
Does Glenn compete with me?
No. Glenn is an independent reviewer and advisor and is never part of any bid. On every bid, his only part is to review it, acknowledge it and advise the client about it. He also scopes the job and checks the work. The client chooses.
Who is Glenn?
Glenn Stover is a Marine veteran and construction consultant in south-central Pennsylvania. He doesn’t do the work, and he’s never part of a bid. He’s an independent reviewer and advisor to homeowners and contractors alike.
