SMS Terms
These terms apply to the text message program “Glenn Stover Marketplace Text Alerts” (the “Program”), operated by Glenn Stover for the Glenn Stover Marketplace at glennstover.com. In the Marketplace, homeowners post home projects and contractors vetted by Glenn bid on them.
1. What the Program is
The Marketplace sends text updates only to homeowners and contractors who opt in. Texts include:
- Bid updates: new jobs near you, invitations to bid, answers to questions, bid decisions
- Job status: scope ready for review, cleared to start, work finished
- Signing reminders: when an agreement or sign-off is waiting for you
Every text starts with “Glenn Stover Marketplace:”. These are account and project messages only. We do not send marketing or promotional texts through this Program. See the Text Alerts page for the sign-up box and sample messages.
2. How to opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the text-alert box on the Marketplace form or in your portal profile. The box is never pre-checked. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated Marketplace text messages at the number you provide and to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You don’t need to sign up for texts to use the Marketplace, and consent is not a condition of buying anything.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies with your activity.
4. Costs
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. We don’t charge for text alerts.
5. How to cancel (STOP)
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one confirmation message, and then no more texts from the Program. You can opt in again anytime in your portal profile. You can also email [email protected] to opt out.
6. How to get help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email [email protected].
7. Carriers
Wireless carriers and their affiliates are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device and is not guaranteed. Supported carriers may change over time.
8. Privacy
Your mobile number and SMS opt-in data are not shared or sold. They are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use only service providers, such as our messaging provider and wireless carriers, to deliver the messages. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above when we do.
